Biathlon is a mix of cross country skate skiing and shooting multiple sets of targets. The year starts with cadets meeting on Sundays at Semiahmoo Fish and Game Club. Running, stretching, drills, team building activities and air rifle practice to prepare for try-outs on the mountain. We are only permitted to send 12 athletes to the regional competition so time and time again cadets compete against each other in order to make it to the next round of selections. It is a very tight competition but keen cadets who, although not selected to compete, can stick with the team to coach and help on the range. The 907 team has set many records and is competitive each year at Regionals and Nationals.
